tickets & pricing

Tickets & pricing.

What it costs, who’s free, and how to pay — no per-zone fees and no surprises.

How much are tickets at UFOREA Penang?
On weekdays (Mon–Fri) it’s RM 18 per adult and RM 78 per child. On weekends and public holidays it’s RM 28 per adult and RM 98 per child. Every ticket opens all nine themed zones with unlimited play and same-day re-entry on a wristband stamp — there are no per-zone fees or upgrades. See the full breakdown on the tickets page.
What’s the age cut-off, and who gets in free?
A child ticket covers ages 12 months up to 15 years, and an adult ticket is for anyone 16 and above. Seniors aged 60 and above enter free with a paying guest, and OKU (disability) card holders get 50% off. Every child must be accompanied by at least one paying adult inside — and adults can’t visit without an accompanying child.
Do we have to book online, or can we just walk in?
Both. Walk-ins are always welcome at the counter, and you can also book ahead online or reserve on WhatsApp to skip the queue on busy weekends and school holidays. Voucher and seasonal-bundle codes are accepted both online and at the counter.
What payment methods do you accept?
At the counter we accept debit and credit cards, e-wallets including Touch ’n Go and GrabPay, and cash. Online checkout accepts cards and major Malaysian e-wallets. You’ll get a wristband once you’ve paid.
Can we leave and come back the same day?
Yes. Your wristband stamp is valid for the whole operating day, so you can step out for lunch or a nap and return at no extra cost. Plenty of families split the day into a morning and an afternoon session.
Can I get a refund if our plans change?
Ticket purchases are final and non-refundable, but you can reschedule once, free of charge, if you ask at least 24 hours before your booked visit — message us on WhatsApp or email and we’ll help. Full terms are on our sales policy page.
What are your opening hours?
On weekdays (Monday to Friday) we open at 11:00 in the morning. On weekends, public holidays and national school holidays we open earlier, at 10:00. We close at 22:00 every night, with last entry at 21:00. Quiet Toddler Hour runs Monday to Thursday from 11:00 to 13:00, when the music is softer and the floor is calmer for little ones. No reservation needed — just walk in.
visiting & facilities

Visiting & facilities.

Getting here, parking, prams, the baby room and where the grown-ups can sit with a coffee.

Is there parking at Island 88?
Yes — Island 88 has its own covered car park, so you won’t be circling the block with a tired toddler. We’re at units 3-10, 3-11 and 3-12 on the third floor; take the lift up and follow the signs to UFOREA.
How do we get to UFOREA without a car?
A Grab or taxi is the easiest option — set your drop-off to Island 88, 118 Jalan Tanjong Tokong, 10470 Penang. Rapid Penang buses run along Jalan Tanjong Tokong nearby, and there’s covered parking if you drive yourself. More on getting here.
Are there lockers for our things?
Yes, lockers are available near the entrance for bags, shoes and shopping, so you can play hands-free. Pop your shoes in once you’ve changed into grip socks — it keeps the play areas clean and your feet found at the end.
Can we bring a stroller or pram inside?
You can. There’s a parking spot for prams near the entrance, and the main walkways are flat and wide enough to wheel a sleeping baby through while older siblings play. The soft-play structures themselves are shoes-and-prams-off zones.
Is there a nursing or baby-changing room?
Yes. We have a private nursing and baby-changing room so feeds and nappy changes are calm and comfortable, plus family-friendly washrooms. Ask any floor host and they’ll point you the right way.
Is there food, and can we eat at the venue?
Yes — Amuse Café by UFOREA sits right beside the entrance, serving coffee, cold drinks, desserts, ice cream and light snacks. It doesn’t do full main meals, but there are restaurants throughout Island 88 Mall just five to ten minutes’ walk away, and with same-day re-entry you’re free to pop out and come back — our plan-your-day guide maps the food stops. VIP members get 30% off at the café.
Do we need grip socks, and where do we get them?
Anti-slip grip socks are required for everyone going onto the play structures, children and adults alike — they keep little feet from slipping and the floors hygienic. If you forget a pair, fresh ones are on sale at the counter.
Is UFOREA accessible for wheelchairs and prams?
We’re on the third floor of Island 88 with lift access, and the main concourse, café and washrooms are step-free and pram-and-wheelchair friendly. Some of the climbing structures are by their nature for able-bodied play, so do message us about specific needs and we’ll talk you through it.
How long do families usually stay?
Most families spend three to four hours with us, and many use same-day re-entry to make a full day of it. With nine zones to wander between, there’s no rush — our plan-your-day guide maps out a relaxed route through the wonderland.
birthdays & parties

Birthdays & parties.

Private themed rooms, what’s included, and how far ahead to book the big day.

How do we book a birthday party?
The quickest way is to message us on WhatsApp with your preferred date, your child’s age and rough guest numbers, and we’ll walk you through availability and packages. Our birthdays page has the full picture of rooms and themes.
What birthday themes can we choose from?
We have private themed party rooms decorated as Princess, Unicorn Fairytale, Jungle Safari and Candy Castle worlds. Tell us which one your little one dreams about and we’ll dress the room to match for their special day.
How many guests can a party room hold?
We have three private themed rooms that suit a range of group sizes, from a cosy gathering of close friends to a larger class celebration. Share your headcount when you message us and we’ll match you to the right room.
What’s included in a birthday booking?
A party booking pairs a private decorated themed room with admission to all nine play zones for your guests, so the children play to their hearts’ content and the room is your base for cake and presents. We’ll confirm the exact inclusions for your chosen package on WhatsApp.
Can we bring our own cake and food to a party?
Your party’s cake and food are arranged with us as part of the package — a themed birthday cake is included, and outside food and drinks aren’t permitted (a hygiene & allergy policy). Just tell us your theme and any allergy needs when you book on WhatsApp.
How far ahead should we book a party?
Weekends and school holidays book up fastest, so two to three weeks’ notice is ideal to secure your first-choice date, theme and room. That said, do always ask — we sometimes have last-minute slots, so a quick WhatsApp never hurts.
safety & cleaning

Safety & cleaning.

How we keep the wonderland spotless and the little ones safe while they play.

How often is everything cleaned and sanitised?
We clean every day — vacuuming the floors, wiping down toys, sanitising the makeover tools and steaming the costumes — with toilets cleaned a few times a day, and once a week the whole venue gets a full deep-clean and the dress-up dresses are rotated. It’s one of the things parents tell us they notice and appreciate most. More on our health & safety page.
How are the children kept safe while they play?
Trained floor hosts supervise the zones, CCTV covers the venue, and the grip-sock policy keeps footing secure. Parents stay responsible for their own children and a paying adult chaperone comes in with every child — but you’re never doing it alone.
Are your staff trained for emergencies?
Yes. Our floor hosts are trained on safety procedures and first aid, the equipment is checked regularly, and the layout is designed so grown-ups keep clear sightlines to their children from the Cozy Nook and around the floor.
Why are grip socks part of the safety rules?
Bare feet and ordinary socks slip on soft-play surfaces, so anti-slip grip socks are required for everyone on the structures. They also keep the play areas hygienic for the next family. Forgot yours? Pick up a pair at the counter.
What if my child has allergies or is feeling unwell?
If your little one is unwell, it’s kindest to all the families to come another day — your wristband isn’t transferable but we’d far rather see you well. For allergies, let a host know any concerns and we’ll do our best to help; our café can talk you through what’s in their snacks.
the zones

The nine zones.

What’s inside, the toddler-gentle corners, and where the big kids head first.

How many zones are included with one ticket?
All nine. UFOREA spans 20,000 square feet across nine themed zones — Makeover Castle, Dazzling Light Fantasy, Discovery Cove, Little Paradise, Galaxy Exploration, Mini Town, Adventure Trails, the Party Zone and the Cozy Nook — and a single ticket opens every one of them. Meet them all on the nine wonders page.
Which zones are best for toddlers?
Little Paradise, our early-learning corner of counting, matching and gentle hands-on play, and Discovery Cove’s sensory sand and soft movement are firm favourites for under-fives. Galaxy Exploration is lovely for toddlers too — its gentle slides are designed especially for little ones under six, and it’s a sweet spot for photos. Mini Town’s pretend-play streets delight the slightly bigger toddlers. Visit during Quiet Toddler Hour (Mon–Thu, 11:00–13:00) for the calmest play — our toddler guide has the full rundown.
Which zones do bigger kids love most?
Older children gravitate to Adventure Trails for climbing and clambering, and the Dazzling Light Fantasy Zone — our signature glowing ball pit — for that big wow-moment of jumping, sliding and diving in. Discovery Cove’s trampolines and swing balls give them somewhere to burn off energy, and Makeover Castle is a perennial favourite for dressing-up and imaginative play.
What is Quiet Toddler Hour?
From Monday to Thursday, 11:00 to 13:00, we soften the music and the floor is at its calmest — gentler on little ears and lovely for first visits, sensory-sensitive children and new walkers finding their feet.
Is there somewhere for parents to rest?
The Cozy Nook is a calm reading-and-building corner for the children — storybooks, bricks and quiet creative play — and it’s a lovely spot for grown-ups to settle in alongside them with clear sightlines to the floor. If you just want to put your feet up, the dedicated parent rest area has soft seating and charging points; you’ll find it, along with the rest of our facilities, on the visit page.
membership

Lifetime Family VIP.

Platinum vs Premium, the honest payback maths, and how to join.

What’s the difference between Platinum and Premium VIP?
Both Lifetime Family VIP tiers are a one-off payment with no annual renewal fees, and cover up to 8 people per visit. Platinum is RM 500 and gives 30% off every admission forever. Premium is RM 1,000 and gives 50% off forever. Both tiers also get 30% off at Amuse Café and exclusive discounts on selected merchandise. Compare them on the tickets page.
Is the Family VIP membership actually worth it?
Here’s the honest maths: a weekend visit for a family of four is about RM 252. Platinum’s 30% saves roughly RM 75 a visit, so it pays for itself in about seven family weekends. Premium’s 50% saves about RM 126 a visit and pays back in around eight — best if you live nearby and come most weeks.
How many guests does a VIP membership cover?
Both Platinum and Premium cover up to 8 people per visit, which makes them lovely for cousins and impromptu playdates — not just the immediate household. The discount applies to the whole group on the day.
How do we join the Family VIP programme?
Message us on WhatsApp or sign up at the counter on your next visit — we’ll set up your lifetime membership and you’ll start saving from that very day. Full tier details live on the tickets page under membership.
